Week of March 22, 2021

Another Festival in the books. Last Friday, we participated in the Steam Remote Play Together event for our multiplayer game ASTRO JOUST. It was a lot of fun, if ya stopped by thanks for hanging out with us! Congrats to Zach, who is the current studio AJ champ, and to Nick who successfully managed to shut out Jeff from a single match win *sad trombone noises for Jeff*


SQUASHIN’ BUGS

Every week is a tango of solving problems and inevitably finding potential new ones, two steps forward and sometimes one step back. Game development is a lot like whack-a-mole in that way. Everyone is on their own features and it’s almost a comedy how solving some things creates other small issues in a ripple.

Luckily, we have a bunch of really talented people who specialize in getting stuff done. This week saw two major features, crafting and medium fishing, hit some new milestones for polish. Last week we showed off the menu art coming together and this week there were some small bugs to tackle. Those are taken care of so now we’ll be moving to the final stages of that feature. Medium fishing is another core feature that we’ve been working on and this week we hammered out the last few things to complete the play loop.

This means that both features are entering their final stages for polish and we’ll have art to combine with them that should make them *chef’s kiss*.

We have more exciting news coming soon too, so hang tight! It’s gonna be a fun ride!
